Jack L. Fox, 89, of Litchfield, formerly of Hillsboro, died on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at 5:23 a.m. at his residence.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jeff Hemken, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. CDC guidelines will be followed, including social distancing and masks. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mr. Fox was born May 25, 1931, in Glendale, to Georgia Fox. He was raised by his grandparents, George and Flora Fox. He married Doris Smith on Oct. 31, 1953, in Coraopolis, PA, and she survives.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, and went on to work at CIPS for 40 years, later retiring as an eletrical engineer.

Mr. Fox was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro and IBEW and Operators Engineer Union. During his lifetime, he lived in Hillsboro, Metropolis and Effingham.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, George Michael “Mick” (wife Catherine) Fox of Longview, WA, Marcia Elaine (husband Tony) Liebscher of Hillsboro, Steve Allen (wife Regina) Fox and Tami Lynn (husband Timothy) Lewis, both of Charleston; ten grandchildren, Jessica Fox Sorenson, Erik Fox, Carrie McCormick, Nicolo Casarta, Paul Liebscher, Melana Damm, Leslie Taggert, Sarah Grissom, Allison Tharp, Evan Fox, Ashley Gardewine Obia and Emily Schnabel; 15 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and sister, Barbara Sue Miller of Moline.

Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his grandparents; and mother, Georgia Fox Clanahan.

Memorials may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro or Bremer Sanctuary in Hillsboro.
