James B. Henry, 74, of Edwardsville, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at 3:20 a.m. at Caseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville with the Rev. Randy Sands, pastor of the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church, officiating. 

Mr. Henry was born March 2, 1945, in Alton, the son of the late David and Ruth (Huelskamp) Henry. He married Mary Matlock, and they later divorced. 

A construction laborer, he lived his entire life in Edwardsville. He was a graduate of Edwardsville High School. He was a member of the Edwardsville Moose Club and the Edwardsville Gun Club.

Mr. Henry is survived by one son, David Henry of Edwardsville; two daughters, Diane (husband Ben) Beeler of Hillsboro and Janet Long (husband Gordan III) Irwin of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren, Adam (wife Megan) Beeler of Hamel and Brooke (husband Nathan) Lynch of Hillsboro; three great-grandchildren, Emersyn Beeler, Matthew Beeler and Karsyn Lynch; one sister, Marilyn Stoces of Chesterfield, MO; and aunt, Claire Ramsey of Edwardsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David “Mick” Henry.
