James F. Krell, 74, of Springfield died on Friday, July 7, 2023, at his residence.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Springfield, with funeral services held on Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.
Mr. Krell was born on June 20, 1949, in Springfield to Loren R. and Janet (Klamm) Krell. He married Kathi (Sours) Krell in 1983.
He spent his youth in Irving and attended Hillsboro High School, before graduating from Springfield High School. He retired after a career as a furniture mover for Mayflower Transit in Springfield. He enjoyed pistol-shooting and bowling, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Springfield.
Mr. Krell is survived by his wife; son Eric Krell (wife Rebecca) of Tucson, AZ; step-son David Beja of Springfield; grandchildren Elia Krell and Adam and Olivia Beja; sister Janet Kay (husband Victor) Crawford of Schram City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Gail Krell; and several aunts and uncles.
