James L. Masinelli, 88, of Litchfield, formerly of Staunton, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
Mr. Masinelli was born on April 12, 1937, in Staunton, the son of the late Amelio and Charlotte (Funderberk) Masinelli. On Oct. 24, 1959, he married the love of his life, Ann (Scroggins) Masinelli, in Livingston. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage and a lifetime of cherished memories. He will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, his craftsmanship and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann; daughters, Wendy (Tony Court) Williamson of Staunton, Sandy (Frank) Imes of California, Kimberly (Michael) Moran of Edwardsville and Karen (Scott Skertich) Robertson of Staunton; grandchildren, Andrea Williamson, Amanda (Chad) Dugger, Meghan Duncan, Frank Baker Imes Jr., Luke, Ryan Lisa (Alan Koenig) Hebenstreit, Colin (Earl Reah) Robertson, Hope (Robert Smith) and Audrey Robertson; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Carson, Emma and Aidan Dugger, Key and Kai Hebenstreit, Waylon, and Hayes and Hendrix Duncan.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Masinelli was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Masinelli and sister, Paula Robbs.
