James Walter Millburg, 93, of Litchfield, formerly of Raymond, died on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 8:20 a.m. at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond. Funeral Mass will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with the Very Rev. Albert Allen, V.F. officiating. Burial will be held in St. Raymond's Cemetery in Raymond. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Millburg was born Sept. 2, 1925, in rural Harvel, to Walter and Agnes (Todt) Millburg. He married Patricia Marie Hagerdorn on May 30, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Litchfield, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2017.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lifelong farmer.

Mr. Millburg was a member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, both in Raymond. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and following them at their sporting events and loved dancing and gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Jim (Sharon) Millburg of Chatham and Tim (Shari) Millburg of Harvel; three grandchildren, Ashley (Anthony) Walch, Matthew (Abby Burrows) Millburg, both of Raymond, and Amber (Andy Gardner) Millburg of Jerseyville; three great-grandchildren, Braden Myers and Ayden and Amelya Walch.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Millburg was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence Millburg, Cecil Millburg and infant brother Earl Millburg; and an infant sister, Rose Millburg.
