Jane E. (Smith) Hiller, 70, of Greenville, died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, at 3 p.m. with a visitation on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time, all at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Hiller was born in Pittsfield on Aug. 7, 1953 to the late Kenneth B. and Wilma Mardell (Witty) Smith. She was a 1971 graduate of Pittsfield High School and majored in fashion merchandising from Gem City College in Quincy.
She married Terry Hiller on Oct. 25, 1975.
Mrs. Hiller was a homemaker and had worked at Zumwalt Chiropractic in Hillsboro for several years. She was a spiritual seeker and loved time with her family. Mrs. Hiller enjoyed several hobbies including fishing and magnet fishing, metal detecting, rock collecting and music, either listening to or singing along with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Hiller is survived by her children, Joel (Bonnie) Hiller of Hillsboro, Brittany (Matthew) Dooly of Mulberry Grove, Katie (Clint) Schmellinger of Coffeen, Rhonda (Alex) Hedden of Lolo, MT, twins Mackenzie (Brandon) Hungerford of Jacksonville and Michael (Kayla) Hiller of Fillmore and Andrew Hiller of Hillsboro; twelve grandchildren, one sister Connie (Nathan) Meyer-Ping of Decatur and two nieces, Randi Rigsby and Jeni Zumwalt.
Mrs. Hiller was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Gracie Hiller.
