Jane Rottinghaus, 72, of Springfield, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at home with her family by her side.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at West Side Christian Church in Springfield. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12 p.m. at the church, with Cindy Lash officiating.

Mrs. Rottinghaus was born on Oct. 23, 1945, in Litchfield, to George and Pauline (Guthals) Ray. She married Wayne Rottinghaus on May 28, 1966, in Barnett, and he survives.

She was self-employed as a talented wallpaper hanger for 27 years. She was an active member of West Side Christian Church for 50 years. 

The joy of the Lord was her strength and she exhibited Jesus' love and the joy of knowing him to all. She loved serving others in her home and her banana bread was famous in her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Tony (Nicole) Rottinghaus, Laura (David) Head and Tim (Jennifer) Rottinghaus; grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, Tessa, Zack and Alena Rottinghaus, and Michael, Meghan, Luke, Ben, Emma and Mark Head; great-grandchild, Lucy; four siblings, John (Mary) Ray, Eldon (Sue) Ray, Gene (Nancy) Ray and Ruth (Gerry) Holliday.

Memorials may be made to Springfield Christian School or West Side Christian Church.
