Janet Elaine (Miller) Hoff, 68, of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Due to the pandemic, funeral arrangements were delayed. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m. at The Event Center in Hillsboro. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted the family.
Mrs. Hoff was born April 24, 1952, in Warrenton, VA, to James C. and Jeanette (Grove) Miller. She married Thomas Henry “Hank” Hoff on July 21, 1973, and he preceded her in death.
She grew up on the family dairy farm in Virginia, and attended and graduated from Fauquier County High School in 1970.
Mrs. Hoff retired from Ameren after over 20 years of service. She was an avid reader who loved to visit the beach. She appreciated a good joke and adored Snoopy.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Miller of Bealeton, VA; daughter, Melissa (husband Michael) Marty, Elaine (husband Ron) Smith and Amanda (Saeed Darabi) Hoff; and grandchildren, Alexa, Olivia, Tyler and Devan.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hoff was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Donald.
