Jean Storm, 90

Jean Storm, 90, of Nokomis, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at 12:04 a.m. at Nokomis Rehabilitation Center in Nokomis.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow at the church with Pastor Bert Eickhoff of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be held in Nokomis Cemetery. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Storm was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Pana, a daughter of Clyde and Dollie (Bryson) Tarvin. She married Floyd E. Storm on June 26, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2011.

A graduate of high school, she went on to further her education. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Scott) Hahn of Clinton, TN, Sherrie Brachear of Harrisburg,  Cinde (Phil) Steele of Lafayette, IN, Floyd (Cheryl) Storm, Jr. of Irving, Denise (Chris) Allen of Coalton, Dennis Storm of Hillsboro, and Kelly (Kent) Lovelace of Fillmore; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barb Diehl of Rockland, CA, Jerry Tarvin of Taylorville, David (Roseanna) Tarvin of Jacksonville, FL, and Tom (Jody) Tarvin of St. Louis, MO.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, sister, Dorene Kearney, and brothers, Robert and Arthur Tarvin.
