Jerry Lee Dever, 86, of Litchfield, died on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at 1:36 p.m. at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, Feb. 7, beginning at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mr. Dever was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Ramsey, to Ralph Edward and Jessie (Neeley) Dever. He married Elizabeth Ann Rainey on May 12, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ramsey, and she survives.

A professional sign painter, he owned Jerry Dever Sign in Litchfield. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield.

Mr. Dever enjoyed horses, going to rodeos and watching westerns, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He also collected Red Ryder comic books.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry (Patty Jo) Dever of Palastine, TX, and Kenny (Earllena) Dever of Litchfield; two daughters, Lisa (Mike) Tex of Pana and Pam (Roger) Burdell of Litchfield; sister, MaryAnn (Harry) Pettit of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dever was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Patrick and Dennis Dever; and brother, Ronnie Dever.
