Jerry Lee Clotfelter, 88, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 25, from noon to 1 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Ward officiating. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, and military rites will be accorded graveside.

Mr. Clotfelter was born on Jan. 9, 1935, in Hillsboro, to the late Gerald and Dorothy (Green) Clotfelter. He married Dorothy Stauder on May 23, 1959, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 1992. He later married Pat (Robinson) Loskot on March 7, 2015, in  Yuma, AZ, and she survives in Hillsboro.

A graduate of Hillsboro High School, Mr. Clotfelter served with the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked as a plumber at Hites Plumbing and Griffith Plumbing. He was a member of the Hillsboro Moose Lodge #1377 in Hillsboro, as well as the Plumber and Steamfitter Local Union #137. During his lifetime, he lived in Vandalia and Hillsboro.

Mr. Clotfelter is survived by his wife, Pat Clotfelter of Hillsboro; three children, William Clotfelter of Plainfield, Donna (husband Tom) Spellissy of Clearwater, FL, and David (wife Fon) Clotfelter of Worden; two stepchildren, Bobby Loskot of Witt and Anton (wife Vicki) Loskot of Oconee; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Carole (husband Jerry) Kessler of Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Dorothy Clotfelter.
