Jimmie Dean White, 72, of Taylor Springs died at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, in Greenville.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen, beginning at 2 p.m. with Jeff Benton officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Coffeen.

Mr. White was born on Oct. 2, 1946, in Hillsboro, to the late Wilbur W. and Mima Jane (Lyerla) White. His stepfather Jake Holloway also preceded him in death. He married Sue Smith and they later divorced.

A 1965 graduate of Hillsboro High School, he lived in Coffeen, Panama, Hillsboro and Taylor Springs. He was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 520.

An entrepreneur, Mr. White also owned and operated White House Lounge in Taylor Springs, My Place Bar and Grill in Taylor Springs and B&B Convenience Store in Butler, as well as several rental properties.

He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 520 in Mitchell, the Masonic Lodge in Donnellson, the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coffeen and he was a Shriner. Mr. White loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

He is survived by three children, Shane Dean White and Kelly Scott White, both of Pensacola, FL, and Bentley James White of Greenville; two grandchildren, Alexa White and Justin White; one great-grandchild Cade Maciver; one brother, Charles "Buck" (wife Cindy) White of Coffeen and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and stepfather, he was preceded in death by siblings Russell Marvin White in infancy, Joy Ann White in infancy and David Lee "Crockett" White on March 15, 2012, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sue Billo White.
