JoAnn Jean Twyman, 79, of Maryville, formerly of Carlinville, died on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Liberty Village in Maryville.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, 1300 Beltline Road. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Michael Walther officiating.Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Twyman was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Litchfield, to Clarence and Hilma (Timinsky) Granger. She married Robert Twyman, and he preceded her in death.
She was a retired computer programmer for the State of Illinois in the Secretary of State Office, and was a member of the Elks Club in Homosassa, FL.
Mrs. Twyman loved animals, being outdoors and spending time in Florida.
She is survived by her three children, Bradley (Amy) Twyman of Troy, Tamara (John) Harvey of Maricopa, AZ, and Leanne Hampton of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Amber (Jason) Reynolds, Gabrielle Hosick and Brady, Owen and Drew Twyman; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Key and Joel Reynolds.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Twyman was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to ASPCA, and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 North Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
