John Granger, 76, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at Memorial Hospital of Springfield.
No services will be performed. Mr. Granger was buried in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler.
Mr. Granger was born Nov. 13, 1947, to Ned and Mary (Yaeger) Granger. He was co-owner of Yaeger Clothing Store, a family owned business and later worked at McDonald’s of Litchfield. He also went on to be dietary manager of Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care, where he met Janice Marcolini, the love of his life. Together they shared 21 wonderful years of travel and memories. They visited 44 states, went on nine cruises, and saw many lighthouses together. It’s a love without end.
Mr. Granger is survived by Janice Marcolini; his daughter, Alicia (Nels) Carlson; and sister, Molly (Harry) Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ben.
