John J. Fraelle, 72, of Benld, died at 8:19 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 3, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Gillespie. Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Fraelle was born on Sept. 10, 1950, in Litchfield, to John and Emily (Carter) Fraelle. He married Lynn Bray on Oct. 27, 1989, in Carlinville. Mr. Fraelle was retired after having been a foreman for Monterey Coal Co. After retiring, he studied computer technology and worked for Frick, Inc., in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Fraelle was a member of the Army National Guard.
Mr. Fraelle is survived by his wife; son, Eric (Heather) Fraelle of Peoria; and grandchildren, Ayden Fraelle and Keegan Fraelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
