John ‘Johnny’ A. Kruse, Jr., 41

John “Johnny” Allen Kruse, Jr., 41, of Litchfield, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at 6:59 a.m. at his home.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 12, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Magnuson of Beacon Church officiating. Cremation rites will follow the services.

Mr. Kruse was born Aug. 4, 1980, in Litchfield, the only son of John Allen Kruse Sr. and Ellen “Cookie” Kay DeWitt. He married Jessica “Jes” Nicole Randall on June 3, 2017, at Beacon Church in Litchfield, and she survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Airborne Division, an avid sky diver, dedicated husband and father and a genuine friend.

Mr. Kruse worked at Pittsburg Pipe Company in Litchfield as a welder, plasma table operator and steel fabricator.

He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his kids, sky diving, hanging out at his dad’s shop and doing what he could to help others. He lived for “date nights” with his wife, spending time with his children and ensuring his family was his number one focus.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kruse is survived by his parents, John (Valerie) Kruse Sr. and Ellen “Cookie” (Eric) Broida, all of Litchfield; five sons, Kaiden Law, Axel Randall-Kruse, Sawyer Kruse, Henrik Kruse and Kannon Kruse; daughter, Lahna Kruse; mother and father-in-law, Alan and Dana Randall of Hillsboro; two brothers, Michael Kruse and Ryan Kruse, both of Litchfield; two sisters, Emily Broida of St. Petersburg, FL, and Ashley Kruse of Litchfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary DeWitt; and paternal grandparents, James “Rusty” and Rosemary “Rose” Kruse.
