Joseph “Joe” S. Davis, 79, of St. Elmo, formerly of Bingham, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Aperion Care in St. Elmo.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Liberty Church in rural Bingham. Pastor Harry Kirk officiated. Burial was at Liberty Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born January 3, 1942 in Tower Hill, the son of Joseph Oliver and Edna Mae (Henson) Davis. He married Sandra Lee Piel on June 30, 1968 in Pana. She died January 19, 2015.
Mr. Davis was a retired engineer for Refractory Products and was a handyman. He had a passion for working on motorcycles. He also was a member of Liberty Church in Bingham.
He is survived by son Jody (wife Lindsay) Davis of Lakewood; daughter Lindy (husband Kevin) Eddy of Bingham; grandchildren Terrance, Brett, Elijah, Tasia, Nathan and Quinton; great-grandchildren Kylar, Willow and Arizona; sisters Rose Stine of Herrick, Marian Bryant of Decatur, godson Brian Cleary of Chicago; and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers Jim Davis and Bob Davis; and sisters Mary Miller and Thelma Hashbarger.
