Joy Lynn Streitmatter, 74, of Alhambra, formerly of Litchfield, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at 11:22 p.m. at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
A private graveside inurnment service was held at Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Streitmatter was born on Oct. 3, 1951, in Litchfield, a daughter of Harold and Roberta (McCluskey) Flitz. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1969.
She married Jonathon Lewis Streitmatter on April 29, 1988, in Forsyth, MO. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2004.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Streitmatter was a secretary and bookkeeper for several places in Litchfield. She worked at Zion Lutheran Church, Hough Office Supply, Schmidt Motor Sales, Wolff Oil, Victory Lane Ford, Crispen Properties and Carpoint. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. In her personal time, Mrs. Streitmatter was known for her creative hobbies, specifically cooking, cross-stitching, and various crafts.
Mrs. Streitmatter is survived by her son, Christian Streitmatter; and sisters, Gale Bolar, Linda Roach, Nanette (Dale) Criss, Diana (Kenny) Odle and Nita Jergeson.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Streitmatter was preceded in death by her parents.
