Wilma Joyce Williams, 90, of Litchfield, passed away in her home at 10:10 a.m., on Friday, July 21, 2023.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 25,  from 4 to 7 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Schwab, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will be in the Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mrs. Williams was born on Aug. 6, 1932, in Butler, a daughter of Lester and Ruth (Seybert) Chaplin. She graduated Hillsboro High School with the Class of 1950.  She married Nathan H. Williams on March 22, 1953, in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2010.

Mrs. Williams was employed as a lab technician by Litchfield Creamery Company - Milnot Companies.  She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, lawn work, sewing and quilting, camping, traveling, and going on cruises.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons, David (Cheryl) Williams of Terre Haute, IN, and Michael (Ki) Williams of Waynesville, OH; daughter, Marlia “Leah” Williams, of Litchfield; five grandchildren, Timothy (Casey) Williams, Daniel (Rachel) Williams, Kelly (Lee) Frank, David “Scott” (Melissa) Williams, and Kevin Williams; eight great-grandchildren, Carson, Emily and Max Williams, Cameron and Michael Jones, Alexis (Cameron) Ison, Madelyn Williams and Alyssa Frank; a great-great grandson, Cooper Ison; brother, Richard (Lila) Chaplin, of Bluff City; and sisters, Ruth Ann (Bill) Cope, of Litchfield and Sandra Dilley, of Hillsboro.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Chaplin and Dale Chaplin, and sister, Louise Webb.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Litchfield Veterans Memorial Garden or to Montgomery County PAWS Care.
