Juanita Fern Cassidy, 88, of Keyesport, formerly of Nokomis, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at 11:30 p.m. at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bert Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be held in St. Paul Cemetery in rural Nokomis. Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cassidy was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Drexel and Romelta "Becky" (Beckmeier) Neisler. She married James Leo Cassidy on Nov. 15, 1947, in Mayfield, KY, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2019.

A farmwife, she was a CNA for 30 years at St. Vincent's Hospital in Taylorville. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis, LWML at Messiah Lutheran Church and Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her son, James Brad Cassidy of Nokomis; grandchildren, Jacqueline Sue (husband Mark) Garvey of Columbia, MO, and Jason Leo Cassidy of St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren, August Leo Garvey and Autumn Patricia Garvey, both of Columbia, MO; nieces and nephews, Craig Cassidy, Karen (husband Ivan) Benning, Carol (husband Jim) Hempen, Cathy (husband Dave) Vincent, Becky Neisler and Drexel Neisler.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Myron Neisler; and sister, Barb Caulk.
