Judith Fae Bertram, 81, of Cookeville, TN, died on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 3:36 a.m. in Cookeville, TN.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Coffeen, with the funeral service following at noon, also at the Free Methodist Church in Coffeen. A meal will immediately follow the funeral service at the church. Committal service will be Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. The Rev. Randy White, Pastor of Open Arms Fellowship in Irving, will officiate the services.
Mrs. Bertram was born on April 21, 1942, in Witt, to the late Wilbur and Nelma (Whitlock) Calame. She married Alex Smith, and they later divorced. She later married Alvin Bertram in 1989 in Vandalia, and he survives in Cookeville, TN. She has worked as an office manager for Dr. Johnson’s optometrist office in Hillsboro, Ken Meade Photography Studio in Hillsboro and in the office IDM in California. She has lived in California and Tennessee for the last 30 years.
She enjoyed needlepoint and was a member of Cookeville Embroidery Club. She and Mr. Bertram volunteered with Camper on a Mission.
Mrs. Bertram is survived by her husband; children, Michael (Jane) Smith of Hillsboro and Sherry Lassiter of Washington; stepson, Kenneth (Gail) Bertram of Minnesota, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Jeremy and Christopher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
