Julie Marie Slightom Jenkins, 66, of Carlinville, formerly of Raymond, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Visitation for Mrs. Jenkins will be held on Friday, Jan. 19 from 4  to 7 p.m. at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at  the funeral home in Raymond, with the Rev. Tim Rhodus of Cross Church in Carlinville officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend.
Mrs. Jenkins was born in Litchfield on Feb. 28, 1957 to the late Ross and Veda (Wilson) Slightom.
She was a graduate of Raymond Lincolnwood High School and attended LLCC, studying culinary arts and receiving her food handlers’ license. Mrs. Jenkins managed several local restaurants and enjoyed being a home maker for her family.
 She married Dave Jenkins on Dec. 23, 1993 and he survives. Mrs. Jenkins loved her grandkids and enjoyed going to all their sporting events. She loved to cook and fish. She was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her children, Melinda Cagle of Carlinville, Jeremy Cagle of Virden, Madeline (Tanner Newingham) Jenkins of White Hall and Alexandria Jenkins of Carrolton; grandchildren Kysten, Parker, Kylie, Brandon, Chaeli, Jace, Jaxton, Hemi and Easton; siblings, David (Gloria) Slightom of Joliet, Michael (Jane) Slightom of Raymond, Dennis Slightom of Virden and Jo Ellen (Rusty) Moore of Virden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Cagle; and sister, Janice White in 2020.
