Justin Stokes, 29, of Nokomis, died on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family.
Mr. Stokes was born on May 8, 1996, in Taylorville to Jennifer Stokes and Cecil Stokes. He was a loving father to his daughter, Lilith Stokes, who meant everything to him. He took pride in being her dad and loved her deeply.
Mr. Stokes enjoyed logging and fixing things and was happiest when he could work with his hands. He was always willing to help others and never hesitated to lend a hand when someone needed it. Above all else, Mr. Stokes loved being around his family and friends. Time spent with them was what mattered most to him.
Mr. Stokes will be remembered for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Stokes is survived by his daughter, Lilith Stokes; his parents, Cecil and Jennifer Stokes; and his siblings, Steven Townsend, Stephanie Horve, Shelby Townsend and Chris Stokes, all of Nokomis, Illinois.
