Kay Arlene Jones, 75, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 9:35 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Private family services will be held. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Jones was born June 25, 1944, near Walshville, to Charles Otto and Viola B. (Richardson) Heisman. She married Harold Davis Jones on Nov. 30, 1968, at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Hillsboro, and he survives.
During her career, she worked at Roller Derby Skate Corp. for several years before gaining employment at Echlin Brake Parks Corp. She also served as the manager of the Litchfield Bowl.
Mrs. Jones' greatest joys in life were her husband, who is credited for giving loving care and attention to her before and during her illness and made every effort to keep her at home, her children and taking care of and helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, bowling, going to horse shows, going to dinner with her lady friends group,hosting family dinners and special family events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Carl (Jennie) Jones of Litchfield; two daughters, Starr (Gary) Cranford and Vickie (Tony) Throne, both of Litchfield; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Heisman of Cuba, MO, and Larry (Juanita) Heisman of Butler; one sister, Patty A. Dooley of Litchfield; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Joleen) Jones, Josh (fiancee Jami Wilson) Jones, Jennifer (fiance Dustin Goodwin) Jones, Brandi (Ross, III) Wilson, Kelsey (Levi) Kroll, Alexis Throne and Madison Throne; stepgranddaughter, Rayna Trimble; seven great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Carl Heisman; and a sister, Beverley Bergman.
