Kay Sue Chase, 73, of Vandalia, died on Friday, April 5, 2024, at her home in Vandalia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chase was born March 25, 1951, in Shafter, the daughter of the late Bert Alvin and Helen Pauline (Jackson) Harrison. She married Bernard Robert “Bob” Chase on Monday, Oct. 3, 1988, in Shafter, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2008.
She formerly worked at the Drapery Factory, Crain Packing, Brockway as an in-home caregiver and a homemaker. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly.
Mrs. Chase is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Todd) Compton of Shafter; granddaughter, Nicole Compton of Vandalia; brother, E. David (Cristina “Cris”) Harrison of Shafter.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert, Elbert, Dale and Dean; and sister, Clara.
Memorials may be made to Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore or Fillmore Sportsman’s Club.
