Kenneth Brian Norine, known to family and friends as Brian, died peacefully at his home in Nokomis, on July 24, 2026, at the age of 52. Formerly of Gering, NE, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work and deep love for his family and friends.

In accordance with Mr. Norine’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no formal services will be held at this time.

Mr. Norine was born on December 31, 1973, in Scottsbluff, NE. He grew up in Gering and graduated from Gering High School with the Class of 1992. He later made his home in Nokomis.

He was a kind, generous man who loved working with his hands and exploring the open road. He had a lifelong passion for cars and took great pride in collecting, detailing, painting and doing body work on them. He also enjoyed comic books, guitars and firearms. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his twin boys and close friends.  Some of his happiest moments were working on cars with Cody and playing video games with Chris.

Throughout his career, Mr. Norine traveled the country, building lasting friendships wherever he went.  He began working for Coca-Cola in Scottsbluff before joining MBM in Taylorville. He later spent many years hauling cars over the road for Moore Transport and PMGT, followed by driving for MagnaFlow out of Oceanside, CA. Most recently, he found great fulfillment hauling for a local farmer.

Mr. Norine is survived by his beloved twin boys, Chris and Cody Norine; the mother of his children and longtime friend, Lucy Messmore; his sister, Amber Norine and her husband, Terry, of Ashland, NE; his brother, Brad Norine of Alliance, NE; along with many cousins and countless friends who will forever remember his generous heart and easy going spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvine J. Norine; his mother, Joy Hise; and his grandmother, Maxine Hise.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home to assist the family during this difficult time.
