Kevin "Smiley" Catalano, 57, of Butler, formerly of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his residence.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rem Dyas officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Catalano was born July 13, 1962, in Springfield, to Guyseppe and Patricia (Walsh) Catalano. He married Joyce Charland, then later married Patricia Ryan in December 2008, and she survives.
He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1980. During his career, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver and diesel mechanic for many years.
Mr. Catalano enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting and camping, and was a dirt track race fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amanda (Joseph) Gault and Kassandra Dunaway, both of Butler, and Savanah Peppers of Rantoul; two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Autumn; siblings, Donnie Pryor and Candy (Elvin) Garst, both of Eagarville, William (Billie Jean) Catalano and Vince (Barb) Catalano, both of Litchfield, Tim (Patty) Catalano of Mt. Olive, Vickie (Steve) Hefley of Hillsboro, Joseph (Amanda) Catalano, Carla Catalano, Ricky (Aleshia) Catalano, Missy (Bud) Catalano and Kim Catalano, all of Springfield, and Christina (Chad) Wright of Petersburg.
Mr. Catalano was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Peyton.
