Kevin McDonald, Sr., 62, of Granite City, died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, from 12 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City.
Mr. McDonald was born Nov. 3, 1956, in East St. Louis. He married Patricia Kalips on Aug. 10, 2007, in Edwardsville, and she survives.
He served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a millwright at Granite City Steel. He loved the outdoors.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, canning and spending time with all of his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Glen McDonald (stepmother, Alivern) of Van Buren, AR; three children, Kevin (Allison) McDonald, Jr. of Hillsboro, Brian (Holly Loepker) McDonald of Germantown and Michelle Lumpkin of Livingston; three stepchildren, Gretchen Mink of Pontoon Beach, Donna Mink of Granite City and Robert (Lisa) Mink III of Granite City; grandchildren, Drew, Coby, Logan, Keegan, Kaden, Mecalla, Mary, Louren, Mady, Kendall, Henry and Dominick; great-grandchildren, Mia and Josephina; siblings, Ed (Christine) McDonald of Rochester, MI, Carla (Robert) Barrett of Pontoon Beach and Chris (Vickie) McDonald of Smithton; and his dog, Furlin.
In addition to his mother, Alline (Graham) McDonald, he was preceded in death by siblings, Gail Bowen and Steve McDonald.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
