Knox Michael Bradly Gatons, 18 months old, of Taylorville, died Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 1:02 a.m. at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 28, at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Mike Profeta officiating. Inurnment will be held in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore at a later date.
Knox was born on Jan. 24, 2019, in Springfield, the son of Chase Gatons and Alexis Black of Taylorville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Brian (Carrie) Burge of Taylorville and Tysha Wells of Taylorville; paternal grandparents, John (Carmen) Nation of Stonington and Rich (Crystal) Gatons of Taylorville; maternal great-grandparents, Rick (Debbie) Burge of Nokomis and Lana Loomis of Taylorville; paternal great-grandparents, Ann (Bob) Nation and Jeff Mendenall, both of Stonington, Beth Lahr and Jerry Gatons and Debbie Sassatelli, all of Taylorville; and aunts and uncles, Taylor Black, Halle Burge, Lucas Burge, Brandon Black, Hallie Nation, Hunter Gatons and Keyda Liberty.
Knox was preceded in death by his grandpa, Bradly Black; great-grandma, Pat Black; great-grandpas, Donnie Nation and Dave Myers; great-great-grandpa, Jack Mendenall; and great-great grandma, Francis Frost.
