Kuhl Assists In MacMurray's Win Over Iowa Wesleyan

Ameeyla Kuhl did not score in MacMurray College's 7-1 win over Iowa Wesleyan University.

But, the Hillsboro graduate, a MacMurray College senior, doled out a pair of assists, including assisting the game winning goal. Kuhl assisted the game-winning goal, which was scored at the 24:51 mark of the contest.

Kuhl has started and played in 14 games. She has three assists this year, which gives her three points. MacMurray is 8-7 overall and 3-5 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Alexandria Quarton (Litchfield) finished 90th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference XC Championships, which was held at the Missouri University of Science and Technology Golf Course in St. Louis, Missouri. The University of Illinois-Springfield freshman finished the 6,000-meter race in 24 minutes, 46.47 seconds. UIS took 14th in the conference finals with 334 points. University of Southern Indiana took first with 28 points. At the Lewis University hosted Conference Cross over, Quarton took 106th by running the 6,000-meter race in 24:51.66. UIS was 13th with 372 points. Grand Valley State University won the team title with 44 points.

Christina Bowman (Hillsboro) scored Greenville College's seventh goal of their 10-0 win over Eureka College. Bowman hit the back of the net at the 20:15 mark of the first half. Fellow Greenville player Hope Brakenhoff (Litchfield) played 45 minutes between the pipes. She did not have to make a single save during her time in goal. She did not get the win. Greenville is 7-10-1 overall and 3-5 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Samantha Voils (Nokomis) helped Missouri Valley College defeat Stephens College 3-1. The former Redskin player pounded down 16 kills and had a .361 hitting percentage. She had two digs and two block assists. They also defeated Hannibal-LaGrange College 3-0 as Voils had four kills. In the 3-0 loss to Baker University, Voils had two kills and two digs. Missouri Valley is 23-13 overall and 4-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Bobby Nash (Lincolnwood) started as his college team, Blackburn College, snapped their three game losing streak with a 1-0 win over Principia College. Thomas Chan (Litchfield) and Samuel Thomas-Guerrero (Litchfield) both subbed into the contest for Blackburn. With the win, Blackburn improved to 6-7-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Mattison Morgan (Litchfield) started on defense to help St. Louis College of Pharmacy defeat Lincoln Christian University 4-0. She had one shot on goal for the STLCOP Eutectics. Both of their victories this year have been over Lincoln Christian. They also tied Stephens College 3-3. St. Louis College of Pharmacy is 2-13-1 overall and 0-11-1 in the American Midwest Conference.
