Lady Panthers Sweep SCC Foes At Home Course

The Litchfield girls golf team picked up wins number six and seven on the season on Wednesday, Sept. 4, with a triangular victory over South Central Conference foes Carlinville and Greenville.

The Lady Panthers would shoot a 201 to take the top spot, with Carlinville coming in with a 218 and Greenville carding a 256.

Laura Boston would earn medalist honors, a pleasant trend so far this season for the Litchfield freshman. Boston would shoot a 6-over-par 43 on the day to take the top spot for the fourth time in a meet this season.

Carly Guinn would be right behind her teammate with a 48, tying Carlinville's Elsa Mefford for second individually. Hailey Rentz would add in a 53 for the Panthers, while Jordan Ramey added the fourth scoring round with a 57.

In addition to the scoring rounds, Olivia Fleming and Lily Braasch would also play for Litchfield, shooting rounds of 72 and 77 respectively.

The Lady Panthers will be back at home on Tuesday, Sept. 10, when they host Auburn, Greenville, Marquette and Roxana.
