Lancers Fall To Cyclones 4-0 In Regional

Another upset wasn't in the cards for the Lincolnwood High School soccer team as they fell to Sacred Heart-Griffin 4-0 in the regional semifinal at Terry Todt Field in Raymond on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The tenth seeded Lancers picked up their eighth win of the season on Friday, Oct. 11, with a 2-1 upset of seventh seeded Pana, but the parochial power that has five state trophies, including two championships to its name, overpowered the Lancers on Wednesday.

With the loss, Lincolnwood finishes the season 8-14-2. They will lose four players to graduation, Richard Tego, Natalia Cina, Cassie Bradbury and Evan Hopper, who was this year's leading scorer with 19 goals, plus ten assists.
