Larry Michael Sands, 65, of Salem, died on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at Helia Healthcare of Salem.
Funeral services for Mr. Sands were held on Monday, Nov. 13, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Steve Upchurch officiating. Burial followed at the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Salem.
Mr. Sands was born on March 30, 1958, in Walnut Hill, the son of Jimmie D. and Helen (Clopton) Sands. He married Nina (Donoho) Sands on Feb. 14, 1993 in Salem, and she survives in Salem.
Mr. Sands was a member of the Rock Church in Centralia. He retired from North American Lighting after working there for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, collecting pennies and working and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sands is survived by his stepchildren, Lori Bray, Larry Bray, Rick Bray, Carla Henken, Cliff Bray and Christopher Bray; siblings, brother Randy (Barb) Sands of Hillsboro, Brenda (Ben) Evans and Beth (Dale) Brewer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
