Lawrence Leo “Larry” Meisner, 72, of Raymond, died at his residence on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Visitation will occur from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 29, at Raymond KC Hall, 510 E. Sparks Street in Raymond.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 30, at St. Raymond Catholic Church, 306 McElroy Street in Raymond.
Mr. Meisner was born November 27, 1953, to Leo Vincent “Vince” and Doris Marie (nee Spinner) Meisner. He was a lifelong resident of Raymond and graduated from Lincolnwood High in 1971, later attending Lincoln Land Community College. On November 25, 1977, he married Dianne Clarke and together they raised a lovely family and spent 48 wonderful years together.
He was deeply involved in his community throughout his life. He was active in St. Raymond Catholic Church and served as the financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus council in town for 23 years. His love for agriculture was evident in his years with Meisner Farms and Meisner Tiling, where he became known to many as the “Tile Doctor”.
Mr. Meisner took great pride not only in his work, but also in the friendships and relationships that he built over the years. He also served as the commissioner for the Harvel #2 Drainage District and was a dedicated member of the Farm Bureau.
Humble, honest, and kind, Mr. Meisner was widely respected for his strong work ethic, loyalty and dependability. He had a warm sense of humor and a genuine love for life that brought laughter and joy to those around him. He especially enjoyed farming, spending time with family, listening to classic rock, watching sports and traveling.
Mr. Meisner is survived by his wife, Dianne (nee Clarke) Meisner of Raymond; children, Shanel (Paul Painter) Rhodes of Litchfield, Marissa Meisner of Indianapolis, IN, Blake (Katie) Meisner of Raymond and Jenna (Ben Watkins) Meisner of Chatham; grandchildren, Annika Rhodes, Kolby Rhodes, Landon Painter, Brody Meisner, Emery Meisner, Zeke Meisner and Tyson Meisner; siblings, Linda Keck, Mike (Gail) Meisner, Anita (Dave) Thompson, Mark (Christine) Meisner, Rick (Shari) Meisner and Mary (Rob) Oker.
Mr. Meisner was preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Doris; brother-in-law, Garland Keck and sister-in-law, Robin Meisner.
