Lee Carmi Lazenby, 81, of Bluffton, SC, died on Monday, July 10, 2023.
Cremation rites have been accorded; no services are planned.
Mr. Lazenby was born on Aug. 17, 1941, in Carlinville, the son of John and Twyla (Mansfield) Lazenby. He graduated from Mt. Olive High School before serving in the United States Army.
He married the former Carol Tolliver on Dec. 1, 1962, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 2022. The couple had lived in Coffeen, Hillsboro and Taylor Springs until her death when Mr. Lazenby moved to South Carolina to live with his daughter.
Before retirement, he co-owned L&W in Hillsboro and Litchfield. He had previously worked for Trost Heating and Air Conditioning.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the local bass club, the Hillsboro Lions Club and Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Rodney) Harrell of Bluffton, SC, and Lori (David Jarman) Lazenby of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, five stepgrandchidren, seven great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Gretak of Mt. Olive.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Friend.
