Leoda Frances Cook, 91, of Litchfield, died on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at 7:40 p.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Mrs. Cook was born July 2, 1928, in Vandalia, to Herman and Belle Elizabeth (Daniels) Lansford. She married Fred Eugene Cook, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1991.

She was a homemaker, farm wife and beautician, having previously worked at Hillsboro Glass for several years.

Mrs. Cook was a member of South Side Church in Litchfield, Women of the Moose Chapter 581 in Litchfield and Litchfield VFW Post 3912.

She was known to be a very good cook.

Mrs. Cook is survived by two sons, Gary (Arlene) Cook of Waltonville and David (Frances) Cook of Scheller; five daughters, Diane Crawford and Bonnie (Richard) Davis, both of Litchfield, Lillie (Ray) Vickers of Peoria, AZ, Janice (Jerry) Johnson of Crete and Barbara White of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Wanda Cantrell of Cookville, TN; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cook; two daughters, Christle Starkey and Margaret Vaughn; and two granddaughters, Sandi Calcott Self and Sherry Calcott Rowland.
