LeRoy Parker, 83, of McLeansboro, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at his daughter’s home in St. Anne, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., on Monday, July 24, at Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McLeansboro, with funeral services to begin at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Parker was born Sept. 2, 1939, in McLeansboro, to Thomas Abraham and Ellen Elizabeth (Harrellson) Parker. He married Mary Drew on October 11, 1958, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 11, 2009. Mr. Parker worked as a machinist and was of the Southaptist faith.
LeRoy is survived by his children, daughters, Tammy (Davis) Geiss of Ottawa, KS, Terri (Jeff) Bapst of St. Ann, MO and Connie (Eddy) Hebert of Oshawa, KS; grandchildren; John Geiss, Jan Schoenberger, Jeffrey Bapst, Jr., Elizabeth Ingram, Theophilus, Jonathan, Luke and Phillip Hebert; siblings, Iona Kessler of Washington, Dwight (Helen) Parker of Moweaqua, Robert Parker of McLeansboro, and Arlene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings, Charles, Betty, Carl, Leonard, James, Calvin and Nadine.
