Lila L. Hohimer, 88, of Springfield, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield is assisting the family.
Ms. Hohimer was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Springfield to Russell Thornton and Nellie Bain.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a fan of big band music. A member of Calvary Temple, she read her Bible diligently.
Ms. Hohimer is survived by her children, Sharon (Ralph) Fainter of Waverly, Patricia (Ron) Mose of Eugene, OR, Nancy (Don) Holshouser, Gregory (Francesca) Hohimer, both of Springfield, Cyndi (Kirk) Gleich of Pawnee and Lisa (companion Gilbert) Hohimer of Yucca Valley, CA; one sister, Maxine (Ken) Martin of Springfield; and a very large number of perfectly adorable grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hohimer; parents; and stepfather, Alex Bain.
