Lillie Mae Bugg, 86, of Taylor Springs, died on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care.
A memorial service in Mrs. Bugg’s honor will be held Friday Dec. 8, at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 1 p.m. with a visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
Mrs. Bugg was born April 11, 1937 in Litchfield to the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Mae (Cavinder) Striplin. She was a graduate of Litchfield High School and she married Robert “Bob” Bugg on April 5, 1954 in Biloxi, MS.
Mrs. Bugg worked at Kroger Grocery and Haarstick Ace Hardware both in Hillsboro. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, where she was church librarian and member of the choir. She enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Calico Twirlers, Red Hat and the Luck and Buck Saddle Club. She enjoyed needle work and bowling.
Mrs. Bugg is survived by her children, April (Sonny) Leetham of Hillsboro, Bobbi Hartman of Hillsboro, Craig (Debra) Bugg of Raymond, Debora (Andrew) Lemke of Columbia, MO, and Geoffrey (fiancée Allysa) Bugg of Great Falls, MT; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob and one brother Jim Striplin.
