Lincolnwood Faces Tough Teams

It was a tough match against some familiar foes on Monday, Sept. 28, as the Lincolnwood girls golf team teed off at Edgewood Golf Course in Auburn.

The Lancers would finish third at the four-team meet, with Auburn winning with a 187 behind medalist Ellie Knight's 37. South County would edge Lincolnwood 222 to 223, while North Mac finished fourth with a 239.

Fifty-five would be the number of the day for the Lancers as three different players finished with the double nickel. Dorie Krager, Jordyn Gerlach and Shelby Hattenbach tied for the team lead, each shooting 55 for the day. Jhia Walker would add in the fourth scoring round for Lincolnwood with a 58, while Micah Gehlbach finished with a 61 for the fifth score. Both Marisa Webb and Kaylee Gerlach would also play for the Lancers and would shoot a pair of 67s on the day.

Now 11-14 on the season, the Lady Lancers will wrap up the regular season tonight, Oct. 1, against the same three teams, but on their home course of Shoal Creek in Raymond. It will also be senior night for the girls and boys golf teams, with eight players scheduled to be honored.
