Linda Lou (Suits) Snarr, 81, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at her home in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Crabtree Cemetery in rural Litchfield. Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Snarr was born on Aug. 30, 1945, in Litchfield, a daughter of John Suits and June Saathoff Suits. She graduated from Litchfield High School and attended Lincoln Land for her nursing degree. She was married to James Leroy Franklin. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1981. She then married Earl Warren Snarr, Jr. on Dec. 6, 1993, in Zephyrhills, FL.
She went into the medical field where she began as a CNA and worked her way up to RN. She was a flight nurse and worked at St. Francis Hospital in the E.R. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were the most important thing to her. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and attended Southside Church in Litchfield where she did a great amount of volunteer work. After retirement, she was a traveling nurse.
Mrs. Snarr is survived by her husband, Earl Warren Snarr, Jr. of Litchfield; sons, James Michael (Dana Sue) Franklin of Litchfield and Matt (Jamie) Snarr of Hale; daughter, Allana (Jack) Eaton of Joplin, MO; grandchildren, Linetta, Todd (Sheila),Kayla (Craig), Jimmy, Joey and Olivia; several great-grandchildren including Avery, Nora, Tiffany, Taylor, Raylin, Tyler and Kaydee; and several great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Myrna Howe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Leroy Franklin; son, John Alex Franklin; sisters, Darlene Wilson and Nancy Kirby.
