Linda Marie Henson, 69, of Goreville, died on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
Private family services were held. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Henson was born on Aug. 25, 1948, in East St. Louis, to James B. and Patricia Joyce (Scherby) Summers.
During her career, she worked as a truck driver. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, camping and the outdoors.
Ms. Henson is survived by her companion, Norell "Bud" Walker of Goreville; her children, Dayton Anthony (Daniele) Loyd of Carbondale, Cheryl (Dave) Pope of Waggoner, Marvin Parker of Collinsville and Darrel Parker of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; and three sisters, Veronica Freimuth of Belleville, Joyce Summers of Caseyville and Melody (Gerald) Ackerman of Lake of the Ozarks.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald O. Loyd; and two brothers, James B. Summers, Jr. and Eugene O. Summers.
