Litchfield Community Gives Thanks At Dinner

More than 350 people counted the blessings of community during the annual Litchfield Community Thanksgiving Dinner Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the community center.

The event is annually hosted by the Litchfield Ministerial Alliance.  Robert Plummer of RP Lumber annually provides turkeys for the dinner, which are cooked by Heritage Health.  Evergreen Place made sure every place setting was perfect with Thanksgiving-themed silverware holders, and energetic youth from the Litchfield Middle School Student Council and the First Baptist Church helped fill plates and cups.

"Every church donated something for this meal," according to Litchfield Ministerial Alliance president and Beacon Church Pastor Jon Magnuson. "I think its a great way to show that the church is for the community."
