Two impressive streaks remained intact after the Litchfield girls golf match on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Litchfield Country Club.
Firstly, the Lady Panthers improved to 13-0 with a 180 to 206 win over Staunton, marking their seventh straight match win of the season.
The second streak is a big part of that success as sophomore Laura Boston was medalist for the seventh consecutive meet as well, after posting a 1-over-par 38 at her home course.
Boston, whose season low is an even-par 37, has shot in the 30s five times this season, has a nine hole average of 40 so far this season after a very good freshman year in 2019.
All six LHS varsity players shot under 55 for the match, with Carly Guinn and Hailey Rentz joining Boston in the under-50 club with a pair of 46s. Olivia Fleming would add the fourth scoring round with a 50, her best score of the season, while Lauren Monke and Alyssa Loyd added a 52 and a 54 respectively.
In addition to the six varsity players, Charlotte Gardner and Izzy Ray also played JV rounds, with Gardner shooting a 58 (another season-best) and Ray shooting a 62.
Litchfield will look to continue their success on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when they play Pana and Hillsboro at Oak Terrace Golf Course in Pana.
