Goodwill’s Litchfield Retail Store and Donation Center is getting ready for a big move.
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the store will close it's current storefront located on Ferdon Street and will reopen on Friday, Oct. 4, at 510 North Old Route 66 in Litchfield.
Goodwill, known for its selection of gently worn clothing, accessories, housewares, shoes and electronics is moving to a new location to accommodate their store's growth.
The new 12,000 sq. ft. space on Old Route 66 will allow more merchandise to be displayed and will provide greater visibility and higher traffic patterns.
“We have always been on the look-out for a larger, more highly visible location in the Litchfield community,” said Patrick Anderson, the vice president of marketing and communications at Goodwill. “Although we are moving just a few blocks away from our current location, the move will give customers more parking, a larger selection of merchandise and more convenient drive-up donation access.”
All of the store’s current employees will move to the new location and the hours of operation will remain the same, Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
