The 2019 Litchfield Pickers Market season wraps up Sunday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Litchfield, 400 North State Street. This market will end with a full fall celebration.
In addition to the blocks of vintage items, antiques, collectibles and upcycled items, this month's market will incorporate a special artists' section. This will be the one stop shop to buy unique holiday gifts. Invite family and friends to come and enjoy one last market of 2019, marking the end of the fifth season of the Litchfield Pickers Market.
Live entertainment will be available all day in Library Park. Three Crooked Men will perform from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and their performance will be followed by 29 Junction from noon to 3 p.m. Pack a bag chair and relax in the beautiful setting.
Food vendors can be found throughout the market on every intersection of State Street. A full menu from each food vendor can be found on the Litchfield Pickers Market website at visitlitchfield.com/events/litchfieldpickersmarket.
To make the most out of the trip, the Tourism office has some insider tips. Bring totes, wagons, carts, pickup trucks or anything that will help haul away the great treasures that are found. Make sure to walk the entire market. There are hundreds of vendor spaces spoken for and there will be great booths found in every nook and cranny.
Artists' row will be located on Monroe Street, on the east side of the park. The Litchfield Tourism Information booth, located in front of the flag pole in the park, can help visitors locate Monroe Street. Also at the Litchfield Tourism booth, visitors can buy a Litchfield Pickers Market T-shirt, embroidered ball cap or tote bag. They also encourage everyone to sign their guestbook. As of the September market, they have multiple signatures representing visitors from 21 states and seven countries.
There is no admission to enter the market, no cost for parking and no tickets are necessary to watch the live music. With ten multiple entry points, visitors can park all around the perimeter of the market, just be sure to adhere to parking signs. Remember, animals are not permitted at the market.
