Litchfield Superintendent Resigns Her Post Monday

Litchfield Superintendent Debbie Poffinbarger has resigned her position with the district, effective Monday, Oct. 29, according to Litchfield School Board President Jennifer Reid.

The board will have a special meeting tonight, Thursday, Nov. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Radius Room at Litchfield High School to consider approval of the mutual separation agreement with Superintendent Poffinbarger.

They are also expected to approve a contract with an interim superintendent. Currently, retired superintendent, John Mullet, is assisting the district in this capacity. He previously served as the Litchfield superintendent  from July 1, 2013, until his retirement on June 30, 2015.
