Litchfield Teachers Plan Parade To See Students

To help raise the spirits of students in the Litchfield School District, teachers have planned a special parade this Thursday, March 26, beginning at 11 a.m. throughout Litchfield.

“Truly and honestly this is a teacher initiative,” said Jeremy Heigert, elementary school principal. “This is a chance for the teachers to see their kids and let them know we are still thinking about them and missing them.”

The parade line-up will begin at 10:45 a.m. at Litchfield High School, and will begin the parade of cars at 11 a.m. Teachers are encouraged to decorate their cars and dress up.

A map of the parade route is available on the district’s Facebook page. Students and their families are encouraged to step outside their homes and wave and smile at teachers, administrators and district staff.
