The Hillsboro foursome of Evan and Brady Lynch, Kevin Rench and Justin Reynolds were on the track in Macon on Saturday, Aug. 15, for Macon Speedway’s Diane Bennett Memorial Race.
The group would come home with a top ten finish and two top 15s, with Evan Lynch leading the way.
Racing in the B Modified class, Lynch would run third in his heat and would start eighth in the feature. From there he would move up a spot, finishing seventh overall in the race.
Rench and Reynolds would also race in the B Mods, with Rench coming in fifth in his heat and Reynolds taking seventh in his. Rench would go on to finish 14th after starting in that spot, while Reynolds moved up five places to finish in 16th after starting 21st.
Brady Lynch would race in the Pro Late Model division and qualified third in the third qualifying group. After running fourth in the third heat, Lynch would start the feature from the 12th spot and would finish 12th in the 18-car field.
Nokomis racer Anton Loskot would make trips to Fayette County Speedway on Aug. 14 and to Charleston Speedway on Aug. 15, for his racing weekend.
Running in the Street Stock division at Brownstown on Friday, Loskot ran third in the qualifying heat and finished seventh overall in the 13-car field.
On Saturday, racing in the Factory Stock division, Loskot would qualify 12th overall, then placed fourth in his heat race. Starting in the 12th spot in the 17-car field, Loskot worked his way up to an eighth place finish in Charleston.
In addition to the Hillsboro crew, Sorento’s Eldon Hemken would also race at Macon on Aug. 15. Hemken placed fifth in his heat, but worked his way through the field from the 12th starting spot to finish sixth overall in the Hornet class.
The night before, Hemken raced at Fayette County Speedway, taking third in his qualifying heat and fifth in the Hornet feature race.
