Lois E. McCormick, 71, of Vandalia, died on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital emergency room in Vandalia.
Friends and family may gather at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Rural Ramsey at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 12. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m., with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ms. McCormick was born on Oct. 19, 1949, in Fayette County, the daughter of Grover Cleveland O’Dell, Jr., and Emma Louise (Brown) O’Dell. She worked in home healthcare, at local factories and at a local deli. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Ms. McCormick is survived by her son, Duane (Bethany) McCormick of Stockton, IA; sister, Norma (Steve) Kennett of Brownstown; and grandchildren, Kaiden and Reiss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rev. Larry O’Dell and Rick O’Dell; and sister, Carolyn Maske.
